SEPARATION ALLOWANCE.

The men in camp at Trentham have been notified that a separation allowance of Is per diem far seven days a week has been granted by the Minister of Defence to married non-commission-ed officers and privates of tho New Zealand Expeditionary Force. This applies to the wives of non-commission-ed officers and privates of the main Ex-. peditionary Force 'and all subsequent reinforcements. Payment is to commence from June Ist, 1915, for tnovs already in the force on that date, and from the date of enlistment for others. Claims for this (separation allowance must be mado by the men who have wives, or by the wives themselves, and proof of marriage must be produced. Payment of the separation allowance :s made to the wives and not to the men.
