EASTER TOURNAMENT.

(From "The Colonist," .April 3.)

The annual bowling tournament be-' tween visiting teams and the two loca]; clubs —Nelson and Maitai—commenced .yesterday. There are- 20 teams from a distance. The morning games were interfered with in two way*—by the late arrival of some oi; the visitors, and by wet greens, due to overnight rain. Very few heads were played in the morning, and the scores did not in any way represent what a 21-head match might be expected to show. The greens, considering the circumstances, played extremely well, the visitors expressed a considerable amount of satisfaction with them. In the afternoon full games of 21 heads were played, and, should the weather be favourable, all future games will be fully played out. NELSON GIIEEN.
