In the marching competition at the contest the Band of the 12t'i Regiment (Nelson) obtained sixth position, out of 12 competing, being awarded 259 i points, the winning band (Wanganui) gaining 272-J. Bandsman W. Lock, of the kelson Band, won the gold mecial for drumming on the march
