ANOTHER BRITISH VESSEL SUNK.

THE CREW SAVED

(Received March 19, 1.25 a.m.)

London, March 18

Reuter states that the submarine U2B stopped a British ship to leeward of the Naas lightship, and placed bombs on hoard her. They failed to sink the ship, and the submarine was compelled to return. She sank the steamer after working for an hour. The crew were landed.

Submarines vainly pursued the British steamers Avocet and Lestris to Dutch waters.
