HAMILTON HODGES CONCERTS.
There is a consensus of opinion in local musical circles that the composition of the concert company promoted by Mr, Hamilton Hodges (the wellknown baritone) is conducive to a pleasingly varied entertainment, and those wlio attend the musicales in the School of Music on Monday aoid Tuesday next are promised that their hopes in this direction will be more than realised. A high standard of merit, with a due regard to the selection of tho best that music offers, has been aimed at by Mr. Hodges in tho arrangement of his programmes. Mr. Hodges is an artist in the tiniest sense of the word: ho has been blessed by Nature with a magnificent baritone voice which he knows how to use. Whether it be in the sinking of a simple ballad or a powerful dramatic work he is equally at home, and this is one of the charm*; or h;s work. Miss Eileen Dnscoll (mezzo-soprano), Miss Rene Queree (accompanist), and Signor Giovanni Vitotta* (harpist), who are supporting Mr Hodges, are all proved ooncert performers, and their appearance is caiisin" much interest..
