CAPTURE OF LEPINETTE.

A BRILLIANTLY EXECUTED EN-

TERPRISE

SIR JOHN FRENCH'S REPORT,

London, March 16

Sir John French's bulletin describing the capture of L'Epinette says that the result was a brilliantly executed enterprise, advancing our line 300 yards on the front of 800 yards.

The enemy, on the evening of the 14th, after a- heavy bombardment and mine explosion, rushed some of our trenches at the south of St. Eloi., but we recaptured them nest morning.

The Flying Corps secured further successes. A train at Don station was blown up on Saturday.

Sergeant Humphries, of New Zealand, who was promoted on the field for distinguished service, was wounded at Neuve-Chapelle.
