WAIMEA WEST.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the 1 Waimea West Road Board was held on Tuesday. Present:—-Messrs. W. L. Palmer chairman), Tomlinson, Challies, Ford and Hajl. The Riwaka Board forwarded a resolution in reference to "the subsidy paid to road boards by the County Council. —It was resolved to endorsethe resolution.. During the discussion it was stated that a candidate would be nominated to represent the local part of the riding at the forthcoming County Council election. A letter was received from Mr. A. E. Jackson, representing the owners of the property known at _ Stewart's, asking the Board to appoint a time to meet the owners to consult with regard to a proposed exchange of roads.—Resolved to meet on the property on Wednesday, the 14th inst. . It was resolved to meet at 7.30 p.m. during the summer months. - Accounts amounting to £20 19s 6d were passed for payment.
