RIWAKA.

The monthly meeting of the Riwaka Road Board was held on the Ist inst., the folloAving members being present:— The chairman (Mr James Cook), Messrs J. A. Askew, T. Franklin, E. W. James and Jno. Rowlings. The County Council Engineer forwarded a letter from Mr. P. Coleman in reference to his late custody of stray stock on Riwaka Road Board roads. Mr F. Moss wrote complaining of the stray stock nuisance. Resolutions were passed as follows :— That all accounts as presented be paid. That the dayman be appointed, ranger ; and paid at the rate of Is per hour and all fees collected. That the sum of £10 be expended on tlie purchase of small birds' heads and eggs at 2d per dozen. That Mr % P. Coleman be paid £3 10s for his services as ranger for the. Board, and that his resignation _be accepted. That the dayman repair the Brooklyn cart road. Cheques were passed • for payment totalling £21 16s 4d.
