KIWAKA CENTRAL CLUB,

Ths Riwaka Central Tennis Club opened tko season under very favourable circumstances on Wednesday Orritcs our ©orrespor.rtont). Tho day was exceptionally fh;e. and'there was a large gathering of ine.Ji.bers and friends. J>ir Ho ratio Evorc-tt, who is a vice-president of the club, made referenco to the surtes.-; that 3iad attended tho club viiice its inception three years ago. Whe;i the courts were opened there was a debt of£Bi>, of which £66 had been cleared off. After referring to Uw excellency of1 the game itself, Mr Everett declared the courts open for the season, and called upon Mrs Askew to deliver the first hall. Afternoon tea was provided by r.ho ladies. A dance was held in the evening.
