Regulations hove been drawn ujj covering the equipment f) f wireless installations on steamships registered in Now Zealand, and carrying not less than fifty passengers. In foreign, in-ter-colonial, or Homo trade all these must bo fitted with wireless by July. Ist next. The coastal vessels nfected are the Arahura, Tarawora, Mapounfca. Hauroto, Monowai, Rarawa, Mararoa, Takapuna, Te Anau. and Manah. Altogether twenty-seven vessels come under the regulations but seventeen of these, lwfudiru tl>c intor-coionial vessels are draui.v .HLt.-l leavi.ifr the above-named to' !»:: fitted within the next five months. The regulations prdrido for the inspection of the ship's equipment and supply of power needed for the'transmission of signals when the vessels are under way.
