MR MASSEY AT ROTORUA-

Rotorua, Feb. II

The Premier, with the Hons. W. Herries and Dr. Pomare, arrived at Rotorua to-day, and visited the races. In reply to a Chamber of Commerce" deputation, which, asked when certain information promised previously would be forthcoming regarding the granting of thei freehold for the town, Mr Massey said no legal difficulty was in the way, but the serious difficulty was to arrive at an equitable basis. So far as sub-lessees were concerned, the Government had no concern with them. He intended appointing a commission of two gentlemen, probably.
