The Altrincham bye-election caused by the resignation of Mr J. R. KebtyFletcher, resulted as follows: — Hamilton (Unionist) 9407 , Kay-Shuttleworth (Liberal) 8147 The successful candidate attributed his victory to the dislike of the National Insurance Act, and the Homo Rule and Welsh Disestablishment Bills.
