A COOL YOUTH.
There are more ways than one ot entering your home if you have not a latchkey (say* the _Sydney. "Daily Telegraph"). A group of' people on Parramafrta road, Campertown, watched with a.arm what they thought was a burglarious attempt to enter a 'dwell-, ing-house by the- window oi* the top floor. A man climbed up by the r.id of a piping which ran down on the coiner
of tho house, from the top to tho bottom. When he arrived at tho win dow, without hesitation, ho hit it wit his elbow, and smashed the glass ou; Then ho climlwd through. ■ Tho alarme spectators rushed for tho Gampprdown policp, and ,\constable arrived nt the house. After • considerable effort he succeeded in awakening tho inmates, and told them about the entry of the* supposed burglar. ' Tho party went into tho top room, and thoro, asleep in bod, they saw a youth of about 17. "When he was awakened, and asked where was the burglar who broke the window, he just mumbled, "I was late. I did not want to disturb tho house, so I just climbed up, broke the windjow, and got into bed." His words ended in a sleepy sound; and a dumbfounded policeman and two complacent parent* retired from tho scene.
