The monthly meeting of tho Nelson Land Board was held yesterday. Present: Mr. F. A. Thompson (Commissioner) and Messrs Hoiilt; Patterson, Sinclair and Walker.

Applications for renewable lease: Alfred Newport, part section 9, block ix, Gordon, 250 acres.—Declined, applicant to be informed-that he must take the whole section. Ronald Win, part section 11, block xi, Matiri, 50 acres. —Adjourned for report. Young George Dryden, blocks xv and xvi, Maunga., and iii and iv Matiri. 852 acres.—Approved, subject to survey regulations ; applicant to deposit survey fee. Applications for pastoral licenses:— Bertrand Frederick Spiers, b'.ock xvi, Lyell, 400 acres.—Adjourned for Ranger's report.
