Damnevirke, Fob. 13. People's Day at the Danncvirke A. and P. show was a great success from every point of view. The crowd present was the largest yet «oen at the show. The Governor, and the Countess of Liverpool, attended in tho afternoon, and were entertained by the stewards. The Governor declared the ground open, commented upon the prosperity of the district, and suggested that national prosperity might be assisted if a system was devised by which delegates sent from all districts could assemble of toner than at present, and confer as to how the agricultural and pastoral industry could bo improved. His. Excellency presented the-.Dannfevirke City Scouts'' colours, and left alter viewing the show. The hunters' competition was won by J. R. MacDdnsld's- .-Betrayer, L. H. Collinson's Major Rebb being second. These two reversed the places in tho ladies' hunters' competition.
