Mr. Justice Benniston, in hie charge to the Grand Jury, said, that the cases were uttrasually eimple, and he did not refer to any of them in detail. The list indiudes two charges of bigamy and several of a soxual nature. Hie Honour <Jttd- not mention the Russell case, adjourned from last sessions. In. connection with the charge against C&arlos James Russell of having attempted illegally to procure abortion, which was adjourned at the last session of the Supreme Court, an application •vras made for a further adjournment. His Honour, together with the counsel for the accused, and Mr. ' T.. W. Stringer, K.C., held a short consultation, and tho application for an akl"■jOflrnmont was refused.
