At the Supreme Court to-day John Millar waa acquitted on a charge of committing ah unnatural offence near Bal-, ctutha, and Alexander Howarth Hartfand Jordan was acquitted oh a charge o{ indecent exposure at Pimedin. .Albert Victor Buxton, aged 21 years, for. false pretences at Duncdin, was «3pmmitted to Invercargill for reformative treatment for three years. In the case of Harold Chariee Phillips Aged 33 years, for forger-^ in Duri^iiri, his Honour took into consideration .the oyidenoe that accused led an honest life except when in drink, and sentenced Him to six months' imprisonment.
