A very creditable performance has been achieved, by Master Gordon Cooke, who is at present in the employ of 'Messrs. E. Buxtori and Co., Ltd. His many; frjendis; will.:ber.pleased, to learn that, Master Cooke, who is only 15?} i 3'ears of age, has been succ^esful in pacing tihe following examinations in accountancy: Book-keeping '', and accounts (elementary), auditing (elementary), rights and duties of trustees (elementary),.and has also gained a. cer- ; tificate of proficiency in practical, merjcantilo book-keeping.

The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. G. Bary took place last Friday at their residence, Rcnwicktown (Marlborough). The gueste numbered about.one hundred, and the presents were numerous. Mr. and Mrs.-Bary were warmly congratulated on the fq.ct that their family of twelve children were all living and with them on the occasion. Twenty-five of their grand-children were also present.- —"Guardian."
