The Prince of Wales has returned to Paris after visiting Englaad for his birthday celebrations.

A Melbourne cable announces the death of Mr. John Nolan, a centenarian. He belonged to tho Crooked River district.

Mr. It-. T. Sadd, Commissioner of Crown Lands for Hawke's Bay, who has boen in Wellington on Departmental business, is expected to arrive in Neleon to-morrow morning.

Mr. U. E. Harris Crown Lands Ranger for the Nelson district, wlio has for some months past been engaged in the re-valuation or' the Gray district, has returned to Nel&on.

Canon Sadlier, Bishop-elect of the Nelson diocese, leaves Melbourne next week and wi!l arrive in Wellington on the 12th prox. The consecration of the new Bishop will take olaco in the Cathedral on Sunday, July 21st., and on the Monday evening following, a public reception will be held.
