RAILWAY STRIKE POSTPONED
(Received June 27, 9.30 p.m.) London, June 27. There- are now 12,980 men working at the docks, on 154 ships,
Mr As.quith, questioned in the House of Commons, denied that he had put pressure on the employers to induce theni to meet the strikers. He did not think it was the Government's duty to do so.
The West Ham railwaj' men have postponed the threatened strike, owing to executive of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants discountenancing it.
