INTER-ISLAND NOMINATIONS

The management committee. of tho 'Now Zealand Rugby Union met tonight.

It was resolved that the Auckland Union be written to asking that inquiries bo made regarding the report that members of the old Referees' Association had officiated at League games.

The New South Wales itugby Union intimated its regret, that the New Zealand Union declined to participate in tho Californian tour.

Matters in connection with tho.North v. South Island match, to take place at Napier on July 13th, were discussed. The, teams will assemble at Napier on July lltli. The following players have been nominated :—North Island: Wairarapa, A. Desmond, R. Spackman. A. Hodge, C. Granbe, and D. Thompson ; Taranaki, Stohr, Roberts, Brown, Cain, Young, and Dewar; Hawke's Bay, A. Downing, McKenzie, and Manning; Bay of Plenty, R. Nuku, G. Rogers! and S. Darby; Wanganui, It. Leahy, W. Dustin, J.
