PRESENTATION TO MR. R. BOOTH.

Prior to his departure, on promotion, to Duncdin, to tako. up the position of assistant officer-in-charge, "at that office, Mr. R. Booth, who has been in charge of the local telegraph office for the last four years, was called upon by the Chief Postmaster, Mr. W. T. Ward, to accept a small presentation from the local post and telegraph staff.

The chief postmaster referred to the excellent generalship of Mr. Booth, and said that whilst the staff wergj sorry to lose him, they were pleased it meant promotion and hoped he would soon reach the highest pinnacle. Telegraph Engineer, Mr. G. T. Kemp, on behalf of the engineer's branch also made Mr. Booth a presentation, and in doing bo referred to the harmonious way in which both the technical branches worked together. Mr. Booth suitably acknowledged both presentations.
