A marriage of considerable local iv,tornsLivas quietly solemnised at All SaintV Clmrch j'osterday morning, by the Rev. W. 8. Lucas, tire -voddmy party being practically confined to relatives. The contracting parties wore Mv A. D. Park, of tlio Public Works Department, and Miss Ada ("Ba.bs") Meroor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mercer of this city. The bride wore «, beautiful dress of ivory charmeuso satin, with overdress of law,'largo black velvet hat with white, ostrich feathers, and carried an ivory- backed prayer book. Tho bridesmaid war, Miss Elsie Boon, who woro a dress of shell dui'c Paiiett© silk', black .hat, and carried a bouqifet of natural flowers. Mrs. Mercor, mothr.r of tho bride, wore a handsome gown of palp grey velveteen, r.laok hat with shaded lancer feather.I*', and a -set of beautiful furs with croani ermino tails and silk fringa Miss May Hamilton wore a gown of navy corduroy velvet, _ trimmed with emerald green', navy silk hat nitli champagne mouat, and carried a bouquet of cream flowors. The bnJ« was given away by her father, and her brother, Mr. Ga'ni/ot Y. Merce^, was best man. The young couple were the recipients of a large number of prosents, and included wero presents from the All Saints' choir to the bride (pewter and glass,jam dish and pewter and glass flower stand), and another present to tho bride was a cheque for a substantial amount, tho gift of -ior parents. The fellow officers of the bridegroom at Dunedin presented him w'.;h a solid silver tea and cciTco sorvieo and s-ilvor, silver # and dak tray and sahel bowl, and diningroom clock mounted in oak.
