SEQUEL TO INCREASED WAGES

©wing to the Wages Board raising the wages of waitresses to 27s 6d a week restaurant keepers have decided to charge them 10s weekly for meals. The waitresses strongly resist, and have struck at one restaurant, and at others they have- fasted in preference to paying. Restauranters have increased the price of all meals by 3d to meet the extra wages
