Auckland, May 7. The scow Ngaru, belonging to the Maoriland Navigation Co., went ashore when leaving Kawhia to-day. An attempt to refloat^her was not successful. Another attempt will be made to-mor-row. The weathe»r is calm, with a moderate sea running, but the neap tides made the work of refloating tho scow difficult.
