A meeting of the Nelson Builders'and Contractors' Industrial Union of Employers. will bo held at Mercer's room to-night at 7.30.

An old man namod Abbott was brought to Nelson last night by the Hina from Takaka. He- is now in the hospital .suffering from injuries consisting of severe burns on the arms, sustained by falling into a fire after a seizure. The suffererjXjvbp is about 82 years of age. is in a serious condition.
