The usual monthly meeting, of the Suburban North Road Board was held on Friday at the Hillside school. Members present were, Messrs W. H. Alborough, J. Corder, A. Dodson, A. G. Dencker, T. E. The rock could be used lor patching the road near the work. Applications were then opened for a dayman, horse and cart. Messrs H. Frost, W. Frost and D. Anderson applied for the work on No 2 division of the district roads. It was decided to ballot for same, and Mr W. Frost was the successful ono. The delegates reported on the conference held at the Moutere on Saturday, 27th April, re the Local Government Bill. Correspondence was then read as follows :— A letter was received from the secretary of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board ro conference of local bodies. A memo was received from the Receiver of Lands Revenue informing the Board of the amount of £2 13s, thirds and fourths, being paid into the bank to the Board's credit. A letter was received from the Public Works Department re application for grant for roads and works. Resolutions were then passed as follows :— That the Overseer have the point of rock on the Wangamoa road taken off as required by clay labour. That the Chairman and Mr A. Dodson represent the Board at the conference of local bodies. That the Overseer inspect the bank by Mr Small's and give an estimate of the cost of lowering the bank, or filling in on each side, at the next mooting of the Board. That the Clerk apply to tho County Council for refund of £22 8s 6d for collecting small birds' heads and eggs for tho year ending 31st March, 1912.
