SHOP-LIFTING IN AUCKLAND.

Auckland, May 6. While a good ..deal of shop-lifting goes on in Auckland,-the business people consider the offence is not on tho increase. Some prosecutions have had a salutory jeffect. It is stated that women confine themselves to thefts inside the shops, and men aro prone to make casual selections from goods displayed outside the business'premises.
