MURDER OF BLANCHET,

"BILL" BEING SURROUNDED

Paris, May 5

"Bill," the murderer of Blanchet, was recently arrested an another charge and was released on account of lack of

evidence,

Blanchet was courting a young drossmaker lodging in Ronert's house. The dressmaker really informed the authorities.

The police believe that at a secret conclave at Nancy the anarchists decreed that Renert should be avenged.

Blanchet was then lured to a lonely part of the road, and "Bill" fired, missing.him the first time. Blanchet fled.

A tramoar conductor saw him running and signalling wildly, but did not stop because it was not the usual-halting place. "Bill" finally shot Blanchet with a revolver. ,
