SHIPPING OFFICERS' DISPUTE.

Dunetfin, April 1
Mr P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, is engaged to-day in connection with the dispute between tho captains and deck officers of vessels over 1000 tons and the owners. The proceedings are being held in camera. Captain Watson is representing the Merchant Service Guild, and .the Union Company is represented' by Messrs Aikon and Smith. The main points in tho dispute relate to-wages and hours of overtime. The proceedings will probably extend till to-morrow.
