U.S.S. COS LATEST ADDITION.

It is anticipated that the gross tonnage of this vessel will bo about 13,500 tons. An innovation with regard to this s- +p?mer is that four of her boilers are to be fitted for burning oil hid or co;\l, ami six boilers for coal. Her bunkors fvid ballnst tanks «re constructed with a view to usins; oil entirely if fi-n exixM-iment witli the four boilers proves?, satisfactory, and oil is obtainable at reasonable cretin Australia or en mnte. It is anticipated this steamer will be oqual, if not superior to thp fastest liners running between kngland anrl Australia, and, it is expected will make a trade for herself.
