GISBORNE BUTCHERS' STRIKE.
POLICE QUIETEN DEMONSTRATION.
Clsborno, March 29. The butchers' strike continues. A police escort was obtained for a. load of nieat being brought into town. Rumours had been circulated that there was a movement afoot to capture it. The strikers assembled in front of the shop, where it was unloaded, and expressed free opinions regarding the workers. The police persuaded the critics to desist, but later they demonstrated again. (
