An organised spiritual <■ ampuign has been formulated for next \ear by the Methodist Church in New Zealand to celebrate, the entrance of the Church upon independence from Australia, and tlie consummation of the Methodist Union in the Dominion.

The conference to-day confirmed the arrangements for the campaign made by the R«v. Vallanca Cook, and Mrs. Cook, and the. proposals for missions by two suitable niissiionc-rs from Australia, supplemented by a scheme i°r holding missions in every circuit and .home mission station in N-v-v Zealand.

It was resolved to sot up a "welfare of the Church committee," to collect information as to the spiritual state of the Chui'di; difficulties of the present day;" ami the most effective- modes of meeting them.

The report of the foreign missions stated that the work had -steadily progressed during the year. The financial returns shoved another record amount raised, it being £3203, an inerrasc of £350 on the previous year.
