Wellington, March f>. The Cricket Association last night decided to suggest to the Now Zealand Cricket Council that the Phmket Shield should be (uvardi-d in tinsame niainior as tho Sheffield Shield in Australia. All associations should play not loss than one homo and one out match every season and the team securing tho most points should obtain tlie shield. Three points should ba allotted lor an outright win, two for a first innings win, and on© for a tiV or draw. Three points should b» deducted for an outright loss and two for a first innings' loss. In tho event of the points resulting in a tio th-v shield to go to the team averaging most runs a wicket.
