Heise's place - yesterday morning at 111 ;30 for the purpose of joining Mr^ JJarrowman, who was going with hei' to the Post Office to arrange about •transferring some money that was' standing to her credit at the Wostport Post Office, to the Nelson office. As she had not arrived at Mr. Barrow-^ man's house at 2.30 p.m. he became anxious and set out in search of his sister-in-law.

On the beach near the Beacons a woman's veil was picked up, but no trace of tho missing woman was found until a few minutes to five, when the body was seen floating in the harbour near the Pilot Station by two boys named Gabrielson and Reeves. They were playing football on the road and kicked the ball into the sea. On,going to get it out they saw the body and reported tho fact to Mr. Reeves, of the- pilot staff, avlio brought it ashore. Deceased was 63 years of age, and leaves a grown-up family of seven sons and daughters,

Evans, S.SI. (Coroner). t The Coroner returned a verdict that deceased met her death by drowning, but there was nothing to show how she got into the water. The evidence showed that on the morning of tbfe ■occurrence the condition of her mind was unstable, and in the Coroner's opinion deceased was temporarily insane.
