FIRE AT WELLINGTON.

Wellington, May 15. An eleven-roomed house at Thorndon Quay was gutted by fire early ibis morning. When the brigade arri/cd the whole place was in flames. A strong southerly prevented tho brigade saving the place, which was a boarding house occupied by Bridget Coyle, who was absent at tho time. A servant girl was awakened by smoko. r lye boarders and another servant cscapptl, but saved nothing. The house was insured for £600 in the Atlas office and £200 in tho Royal Exchange. Tho contents wore insured for £250. Two adjoining houses were also damaged.
