A CHILD'S FINGER-TIPS BLOWN OFF.

Palmerston North, March 14

Hora'co Arthur Mannering, aged six was injured by an explosion in Church street, near the Square, yesterday. The tips of three fingers were blown off. He was also wounded in the thigh. It is supposed that the accident was caused by a dynamite cartridge. His sister, aged seven, was with him at the time, and said he was hitting a nail against a piece of tin with a stone.
