STOKE RIFLES

Last Saturday, competitions were held at Brightwater for Lieutenant dung's and Captain Hammond's trophies for First and Second Class shots respectively. The score also counted for the aggregate. A strong south-westerly wind was blowing, which made good scoring very difficult. (Private H. Warnock secured his first leg-in for Lieutenant Clang's trophy, whilst Corporal Giblin notched another leg-in for Captain Hammond's trophy. The weather conditions on the 14th January wo.ro about the trickiest yet experienced at Brightwater. Colour-Sergeant Jamieso.n secured a leg-in for Lieut.
