ATTEMPTED SUICIDE.
[United Pbess Association . J - Napier, April 14. A" young woman named Daisy Mc-K-elvie appeared before the Court this morning charged with attempted suicide. Inspector Dwyer in asking for a remand said the accused was in service in Hastings, -and last evening she came into -town by the express train, and between 7:30 and 7.45 p.m. was seen on the beach going into the sea. Two young men went out after her, ■ and took her to the police station. He had communicated with her father at Ma^ taura, and he would come up and look after heri The accused had been under medical treatment. A remand was granted.' : '. : -' '•' :: '. < • ;. .'
