WELLINGTON PATENT SLIP COMPANY.
£30 000 TO BE SPENT IN EVANS' BAY. [United Press Association.] - -. Wellington, April 14. A meeting of the Patent Slip Company was held to-day to finally considerthe plans for the extension of the slip engineering shops by the company atErans' Bay. The compaiiy decided to extend -the works, and to spend'over £30,000, chiefly in labour, in connection with the scheme. Under the special Act- of 1908 the company is empowered to' reclaim -the land from the sea and the plans were prepared showing that the total area would be four acres 'of new ground. This will provide/ample room for the new workshops which the company proposes- to erect. . ' .-S
