BANKS REFUNDING INCOME TAX PROTEST AGAINST ANOTHER ELECTION. [Press Association— Copyright.] London, March 26. Practically all the banks are following the example of the Bank of England and are refunding income tax. The newly formed centre party 01 Unionists, of which Lord Cromer, Mr Harold Cox M.P., Sir E. Strachey, M.P., and Mr J. St Loe Strachey (editor and proprietor of the "Spectator ) are leading members, has issued a manifesto protesting against another general election. The document declares that though the last election was inconclusive regarding some questions, it is incumbent on the Government to safeguard the financial interests of the country and also national defence. .
