Practically all the banks are following the example of the Bank of England and are refunding income tax. The newly formed centre party 01 Unionists, of which Lord Cromer, Mr Harold Cox M.P., Sir E. Strachey, M.P., and Mr J. St Loe Strachey (editor and proprietor of the "Spectator ) are leading members, has issued a manifesto protesting against another general election.
