ALLEGED SUBORNATION.

Patrick Hill, an ex-postal employee, has been committed for trial on a~ charge of suborning witnesses in tho Ronald-Harper libel case. Some- of . .the witnesses deposed that Hill, who claimed to be acting J on behalf of Harper, had offered them considerable sums and promised them permanent situations if. they would give evidence against Ronald. In some instances witnesses deposed that they received similar promises from young Harper. They alleged that the evidence they gave in the libel case was manufactured and false. Hill is alleged to have told one witness that ho gob £250 from Harper for securing witnesses. if
