TO-DAY'S ARRANGEMENTS.

This morning the formal reception to His Excellency will take place at the Church Steps. A procession of Friendly Societies (in regalia), . Fire Brigade, Scottish. Society, and Good Templars, headed by : the, Garrison Band, will leave the Oddfellows' Hall, Waunoa street, at 10.30 sharp, and march via Hardy and Trafalgar streets to the intersection of Bridge street. At 10.45 the Town Clerk will mept His Excellency at the Masonic Hotel, and they will proceed via Hardy, Collingwood and Bridge streets to Trafalgar street, where the procession will fall in behind and march to the Church steps, where His Excellency will bo received by the Mayor and presented with an address.

At the conclusion of the formal proceedings His Excellency will be entertained at luncheon in the Council Chambers, after which ho will visit various public institutions in the city, including the Alexandra Home, the two Hospitals and the Colleges.

At 4.30 His Excellency will unveil the memorial to Huria Matenga, the "Grace Darling of New Zealand," at the Suter Art Gallery. In the evening* Lord Plunket will attend the Masonic Hall, whero.a reception will be held, <uid he will be subsequently entertained at supper in the Provincial Hall.

The decoration of the city has been completed by the corporation staff, and the main streets are. gay with bunt-
