"MOONDYNE."
The TaylorfOarrington management's, latest bid for public patronage, "Moondyjie," is by turns sensational, emotional, and amusing, but interesting always, for in the long list of characters there is -hardly one weak performance, and. the staging ol tho play is really splendid. The camp scene in the lust act and the deck oi the convict ship in the third act aro wonderfully elfective specimens of stage realism, whilst the views of Freraantle of fifty years ago rellect tho greatest credit upon the TaylorCarxington scenic artist, Mr W. Mathews. Mr Charlio Taylor in the title role enlists the sympathy of the audience very early in the piece, and by his earnest but forceful acting holds it right through. Miss Carringfcou as th© Sister of Mercy gives a most faithful performance •of a very powerful character. "Moondyne" will be staged at the Theatre Jioyal on Monday night, and on Tuesday "East Lyiinc" will be staged.
