(Received Feb. 11, 10.20 p.m.) The fire started in the forehold among a quantity of pottery and other cargo loosely packed in straw, and quickly gained such headway that it was decided to tow the Penrhyai Castle to Rose Bay and beach her. A steamer started the tow, and meantime holes were cut in the decks. The fire float Pluvius arrived, and so effectively poured in water that by the time the tow reach Shark- Island the fire had been checked. The barque anchored and the nremen soon mastered the outbreak. There is a large quantity of water in tli© holds, and the full extent of the damage by fire and water will not be known untQ the vessel is pumped The damaged cargo will be discharged " (Received Feb. 11, 11.40 p.m.) Sydney, Feb. 11.
