[United Pbes* Association.] Auckland, Feb 10. The opening meeting of the Congregational Union of New Zealand took place to-day, over 80 delegates from various parts of the Dominion being present. The chairman (Mr A. M. Lewis) in the course of his address, said there was something aboui the Anglican service that was lacking in their own. Hei was of opinion thej could introduce a general confession and responses with good result. H would greatly help if the kneeling posture were adopted during prayer. H might bo well to reintroduce into theii services that which had been deleted.
