Owing to the Shops and Offices Act, prohibiting employment of assistants after 6 p.m., the New Zealand industrial exhibition proposed to be held in May and June will probably be postponed for a few weeks until Par T liament meets, and passes special legislation to get^over the difficulty. The Hon. J. A. Millar to-day told a der putation that there was no other course but this open.
