THE IMPRISONED LEADERS.

A SOCIALIST DEMONSTRATION. SEVERAL ARRESTS. THE CONSPIRACY CHARGES. (Received Feb. 8, 9.30 p.m.) Sydney, Feb. 8. A socialist body known as tJie International Industrialists to-day organised a demonstration; to protest against the imprisonment of Bowling and the other strike leaders. Several hundreds, after being warned by the police, marched in procession through the streets, headed by the red flag, and singing revolutionary songs, hooting Mr Wade, and cheering the imprisoned leaders. When passing Darlinghurst a posse of police captured the flag and scattered the procession, arresting six of the leaders, Feldhansen, Anderson, Cohsidine, Riley, Hansen, and Morris, on charges of behaving in an offensive manner in public streets. The hearing of the conspiracy charges against Bowling and the other leaders was resumed to-day. Brennan, who. is still ill, stayed for only a few minutes in Court. The Crown case has closed.
