mm [United Press association.] ' Wellington, Feb 7. At tlie Supreme Court to-day Stephen Henry Coburn. the manager of "New Zealand Truth," was found guilty of distributing obscene matter. The j^ury added a recommendation to mercy on account of the short time the accused had been manager, and his previous good character. Sentence was deferred till to-morrow.
