Wellington, Feb 7. The following is the Rev. D. 0. Bate's summary and forecast : —

A small westerly area of low prcseure passed in the south on Sunday, and the: weather has been genorally warm and humid, and cloudy with misty rain in Borne parts. The barometer has fallen slightly in the south since noon to-day, and low pressure exists to the westward of New Zealand, and freshening northerly winds are probable generally, with warm and hazy weather, increasing cloudiness, electrical disturbances, and aho wery weather probable shortly..
